Blake Shelton releases second new album in 2010
Blake Shelton is not only a recent ACM and CMT award winner, but he’s also making waves with a new way of thinking when it comes to releasing music. That’s because he just released a new SIX PAK of music titled All About Tonight. This comes just five months after the release of his first SIX PAK, Hillbilly Bone.
“All the record company had to tell me was that this format would allow me to cut records more often,” he recently told the Tulsa World. “That was all I needed to hear.”
His record company, Warner Brother Records, was right. Not only has Shelton been able to put out more albums, but he’s also proving that it’s not just quantity over quality. His first SIX PAK reached No. 2 on the U.S. Billboard Top Country Albums and No. 3 on the U.S. Billboard 200.
Since it was just released today, the album’s still too new to have a rating on the Billboard charts, but a Billboard.com review of the album called it “a satisfying sprint without fat or filler but packs plenty of fun…The EP concept behind “All About Tonight” may seem small, but like its predecessor, it delivers big.”
